Ulrich van der Heyden: Zwei „Erstlinge“ der Berliner Missionsgesellschaft. Von den ersten afrikanischen Helfern zu Berliner Missionaren und ihr Scheitern: Die Beispiele Klaas Koen und Martinus Sewuschan

Abstract

Only through close cooperation with local Christians were the missionaries of the Berlin Mission Society able to gain a foothold in southern Africa. The article traces the different fates of the South Africans Klaus Koen and Martinus Sewuchan, who were among the first local missionaries to enter the service of the Berlin Mission.
